About Dr. Sarah Reiff-Hekking

Sarah is a Personal and Professional Coach

After receiving her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, she spent 8 years doing both research and clinical practice at University of Massachusetts Medical School in the areas of health psychology and behavioral medicine with a focus on health behavior change, stress management, obesity, hypertension, and smoking cessation.

In addition to seeing psychotherapy clients in the Behavioral Medicine Clinic, during this time she helped develop the hospital’s Behavioral Weight Loss Program, directed the Quit Smoking Program, and was an NIH funded researcher. In addition to being a coach, she is a wife and mother who enjoys cycling, hiking, playing on the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.

Education: Sarah received a BA in Psychology from DePauw University in 1987, her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1997 from the State University of NY at Stony Brook, completed her internship at West Haven VA Medical Center (a Yale affiliated hospital) and did her post-doctoral training in Preventive and Behavioral Medicine at University of Massachusetts Medical School. She has received life coach training through MentorCoach and continues to take courses related to coaching, various health topics, and clinical psychology.

Timothy Chase, M.Ed.

Organizational Development Consultant

Tim collaborates with Executive Leadership to understand and influence patterns in their organizational systems, create clear options for action, and ultimately implement change that positively impacts the organization’s bottom-line. He has 15 years of Human Resource Management experience including the following roles: Senior Organizational Development Analyst, Performance Management Specialist and Employee Relations Manager.

Tim received a Master’s Degree in Instructional Design from the University of Massachusetts in Boston and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Fitchburg State University. Tim is accredited with the HayGroup in the use of the Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (360 Feedback) and is a Certified Associate in the field of Human System Dynamics, an emerging coaching field that helps make sense of the patterns that emerge when people work together.

About True Focus Coaching

Sarah founded True Focus Coaching, a Life and Wellness Coaching firm, in 2005 to bring her passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives to those outside of the hospital community, in a format that is easily accessible and client driven. True Focus provides personal, professional, and health and wellness coaching to individuals and groups. Coaching is available via private sessions conducted in person or via telephone/email as well as in group/busines settings. In addition, True Focus offers public classes designed to help individuals get started on focusing on their life and goals.
